Our story

Founded in 2018 in Switzerland, the HackGroup started out as a grassroots led movement to bring together impact founders, funders and managers together.

The HackGroup has since become a global community and source of funding for impact builders and investors, active across 40 cities around the world with a community of over 50,000. Today, the HackGroup leads two core activities in building networks and financing tools.

Hack Communities

Connecting impact founders and investors globally.

Hack Capital

Accelerating investments towards impact private markets.

It’s our belief that the private markets play a critical role in solving some of the most pressing issues across climate and health in the next decades, with the potential to drive significant impact and economic value for those who see the opportunity.

HackCapital was born to address the biggest need of our community; to mobilise billions in new capital towards private companies and funds active in what we believe are amongst the most important sectors.
